Personalized support, wherever you are.
Who I often work with
You're navigating adulthood. You hold down the job, the relationship, the degree. You show up. You carry a lot, and most people wouldn't know it.
Yet underneath, there's a part of you that's tired, overwhelmed, or disconnected. The kind of struggle that doesn't show up in a performance review or the group chat, but follows you home and keeps you up at night.
Some of this might sound familiar:
You pour yourself in fully, into work, a relationship, a project, then crash. Then do it again, often without knowing why the pattern keeps repeating.
Let alone how to feel them without being overwhelmed. So you learned to suppress, intellectualize, or manage them from a distance.
At work, with family, in relationships. You read the room before checking in with yourself. You say yes when you mean no, then wonder why you're so tired. When conflict comes up, you stay quiet to keep the peace, carrying the discomfort instead of risking the conversation.
Achievement as identity. Being needed as safety. An underlying sense that if you stopped holding it all up, everything would fall apart.
Often on the same day. The quiet exhaustion of managing which version of yourself gets to show up when.
That if people really saw you, the messy, uncertain, tender parts, they'd back away. Or that even therapy will be another place you have to perform.
If any of this lands, you're not alone. What you're describing is what happens when your system was never given the tools it needed to identify, tolerate, or regulate emotion. The strategies you built kept you safe once, they just aren't the ones you need now.
Together, we begin to slow the cycle. To help you understand your own emotional world instead of being at war with it. To build ways of relating to others that don't require self-abandonment. Where relevant, our work is shaped through a neurodiversity-affirming lens that honours your unique way of thinking, feeling, and moving through the world.
Many of the people I work with arrive feeling stuck in a pattern they didn't choose, the kind that shows up at work, in relationships, or quietly in their own head. Most don't come in with a single, isolated concern; it's usually a mix of a few of the experiences below, woven together. The work is rarely about just one thing.
I work with adults across British Columbia. Sessions are 100% virtual or on the phone, 50 minutes each, $175 per session. Free 20-minute consultation.
Book a free 20-minute consultationWhen your thoughts won't slow down and your body feels tight, anxiety can quietly run the show. Together we get curious about what your nervous system is trying to protect you from, and what becomes possible when it learns it doesn't have to anymore.
Some days emotions feel huge and unmanageable; other days they feel locked away entirely. Both can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself. We work gently to soften the extremes and rebuild a steadier relationship with what you're feeling.
Career shifts, relationship changes, becoming a parent, leaving home, loss. The in-between moments often hold the most uncertainty. Counselling can be a place to feel held while you find your next shape.
If you've spent years reading the room before checking in with yourself, this work is about gently coming back home, to your own needs, your own no, your own preferences.
When pushing through has stopped working, the answer isn't trying harder. We slow down and listen to what your nervous system has been telling you all along.
If you keep ending up in the same dynamic with different people, it's worth getting curious about what your system learned about love, safety, and closeness, and what it might be ready to unlearn.
Big feelings, fast shifts, or feeling shut down. These are often patterns the nervous system learned a long time ago. New patterns are possible, with time and practice.
Whether you've spent years masking, received a recent diagnosis, or are simply beginning to understand yourself differently, therapy is a space where you don't have to perform or fit a neurotypical expectation. Together, we build on your strengths and adapt our approach to fit how you learn, process information, and create meaningful, sustainable change. Exploring challenges with compassion, alongside the strategies that actually work for you.
Held over a secure, PIPEDA-compliant video call software, or by phone if you prefer. 50-minute sessions, paced for you, available across British Columbia.

What you share stays between us. I follow Canadian privacy standards (PIPEDA) and professional ethical guidelines. There are a few limited exceptions, which I'll walk you through in our first session.
My work isn't one method, it's the weaving together of several, shaped to fit the person in front of me.
Rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, not to lead.
Working with thoughts and the body together, because how we feel isn't separate from what we believe.
Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy, meeting emotions where they live, with care and curiosity.
A gentle approach to processing what the nervous system has held onto, without rushing or overwhelming.
A free 20-minute call to share a little about what's been going on for you, ask any questions you may have, and get a feel for whether we'd be a good fit.
We move at your pace. The first session is often about getting to know each other, sharing what feels important, and getting a sense of what you'd like more or less of in your life right now.
Sessions can be weekly or biweekly to start. Over time, we'll find a rhythm together that feels supportive for your life, needs, and goals.
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Both designations reflect meeting rigorous standards for education, supervised clinical experience, and ethical practice, and require ongoing professional development to maintain.
Sessions may be eligible for coverage under many extended health plans that recognize the RCC (Registered Clinical Counsellor) designation, and many that recognize the CCC (Canadian Certified Counsellor) designation as well. Coverage varies by provider, so it's worth checking with your specific plan. I provide receipts you can submit directly for reimbursement.
